Gymnopédie No.3 is a piano composition written by the French composer Erik Satie. This third piece is called “Lent et grave” which means “Slow and gravely”. Gymnopédie No.3 creates a calm, gentle and mellow atmosphere. The melodie use deliberate, but mild, dissonances against the harmony, producing a piquant, melancholy effect.
