Here is a short one!
We are loving Auphonic and highly recommending it to all of you dealing with the production of radio shows, movies, screencasts, broadcasts and the like.
So what is Auphonic?
It’s really handy software used to achieve high quality audio that rivals professionally mixed productions.
How does it work?
It uses AI-based audio algorithms to analyze the uploaded audio files and then modifies them in order to optimize the audio export.
Where can you use it?
Basicaly, wherever dialogue or speech is the most prominent content: podcasts, radio, broadcast, lecture and conference recordings, film and videos, screencasts etc even if audio is recorded with multiple microphones and all signals are mixed.
What do you need to do?
All you have to do is upload your audio files. Their algorithm will take care of the rest such as technical corrections -sound levels, noise reduction and frequency filtering. The best thing about Auphonic is that you don’t need to have specialized sound engineering knowledge.
A few extras we like
In addition there is an automatic speech recognition with editor in over 80 languages providing a global level of use which is very helpful if multiple speakers are active at the same time or if you use background music/sounds.
The loudness is automatically calculated according to latest standards and Auphonic supports loudness targets for television, radio and mobile: Apple Music, Google, AES Recommendation, Amazon Alexa, Youtube, Spotify, Tidal, Netflix and more.
Pricing is based on the duration of the audio files sent for processing. When you are first getting started, Auphonic is free for 2 hours of processed audio per month. If you need more hours they have several plans – you can purchase credits or extra processing times.
If you’re just getting started as a podcaster or you are a very busy broadcaster / producer, we highly recommend Auphonic.
